A RSS (Really Simple Syndication) Feed or Web Feed is simply a channel in which to get information or content. By subscribing to a feed this allows you to be notified instantly when your favorite website or blog has been updated.
Why not just go to the website? This is a good question and a lot of people do just that, however many people also view the same sites over and over constantly checking for updates. By subscribing to several websites feeds this allows you to view all your favorite sites updates at one generalized location, through what is called a Feed Reader, such as Google Reader or Yahoo Reader.
Another common way to subscribe to a feed is by e-mail. This type of subscription allows you to receive e-mails every time your favorite site is updated.
If your interested in subscribing to this site simply click the “post” under “RSS Feed” and then select the feed reader you wish to subscribe with. If your uncertain the easiest way is to subscribe is by email. Under “RSS Feed” enter your email address and click “subscribe”. You will receive an activation e-mail confirming that is really your e-mail address. Once activated every time this site is updated you will get that update in an email.
Remember, your email address will never be sold, shown to the public, or used for spam. If you wish to unsubscribe at a later point simply go to the bottom of one of the feed e-mails and click “unsubscribe” and you will stop receiving updates.
Like what you read? It's hard work, so why not buy me a cup of coffee.- Uncategorized
